Humboldt’s Teijon Abel-Douglas continues to make strides in the track and field community despite this being just his second track and field season. The Humboldt native recently returned home from Brandon, Man.

TISDALE — The construction of the new Beeland Co-op location in Tisdale put David and Kay Snider in a hole, as they found a massive ditch at the end of their property line. The construction on the ditch began on June 20.

Roadways across the city continue to need work, and with budget limitations, the city is doing what they can to fix them. Over the past week, the city applied a slurry seal and crack sealing surface to parts of the city on Laskin Cres., 2nd Ave.

A number of local track and field athletes have enjoyed a busy summer as they competed in the tri-provincial track and field championships in Sherwood Park, Alta.

TISDALE — The Tisdale Trojans have a lot of work to do this season. The first steps of that work kicked off over the weekend as the Trojans welcomed 52 players to their fall training camp.

Humboldt’s Christine Cardenas may not have much experience in strength competition, but the first-year competitor is seeing immediate results.

There has been a delay in court proceedings for the driver of the semi-truck that collided with the Humboldt Broncos’ team bus. Jaskirat Singh Sidhu’s lawyer, Satnam Aujla, asked the judge on Aug. 21 if court could be adjourned until Oct.

Dr. Warren Huber has been a familiar sight in Humboldt for more than 40 years. Dr. Huber’s hard work in family medicine was rewarded recently, with Huber being named the 2018 Saskatchewan Family Physician of the Year.

They will not be forgotten. That was the message that organizers of the Humboldt Broncos Memorial Golf Tournament want the Broncos, the families, and the community to remember moving forward.

TISDALE — The Tisdale Crop Production Services was broken into and a credit card was stolen. The break-in occurred between the night of Aug. 6 to the morning of Aug. 7. There were two locks cut off the gate but no other damage.
