The Bruno Merchants are on the board. After losing their first four games of the season, the Merchants picked up their first win of the season on June 6 as they knocked off the Saskatoon Tint Centre Cubs 8-1 in Saskatoon.

It was a tough week for the Bruno Bisons, who suffered losses in each of their two contests. The Bisons travelled to Melfort for a rare doubleheader on June 9.

For many people leadership is a character trait you either have or you don’t. For Bruno native Joelle Buckle, leadership is a trait she not only carries today, but is one she has been showcasing for many years.

It was a tough way to end the season for the Humboldt Collegiate Mohawks as they fell 19-0 to Lanigan in the Horizon School Division Flag Football West Division final in Humboldt on June 6.

With a growing population comes a need to deal with everything that goes down the toilet.

Humboldt has always been home to Tanner Schatz, even after leaving to go to medical school. Schatz will be returning to his hometown to join the Humboldt clinic on July 1 as a general practitioner, with interest in men’s health and sports medicine.

It was a middling week for nearly all of Humboldt’s Thunder softball squads, as they combined to finish the week with a record of 5-5-1.
