The Humboldt Summer Sizzler has officially been kicked off with the Sizzler Strut raising money for the community trails on June 10.

The crafting tradition continues at the St. Peter’s Abbey with the Saskatchewan Stitches Conference returning for its sixteenth year hosted by Haus of Stitches.

MELFORT — The owner of a pipeline that spilled into the North Saskatchewan River in 2016 is building a new pipeline crossing the river that incorporates what they’ve learned from the spill.

The SJHL traveled north to Nipawin the weekend of June 1, for the annual SJHL AGM and summer meetings. Part of the annual summer meetings is the SJHL bantam draft, which saw the Humboldt Broncos pick seven times in six rounds.

STAR CITY — Star City School celebrated their students' achievements in academics, sports and volunteerism. The school's awards night was Monday, June 11, 2018.

It all started as a fundraising opportunity. For one Humboldt youth, it meant a chance to join the Humboldt and District Ambulance Services for a day of being a paramedic.

Partners Family Services is receiving an extra hand from RBC Humboldt with a donation of $73,770. The donation is set to go towards support and service program needs in light of the Humboldt Broncos tragedy.

A variety of decisions came to council during the June 11 meeting. A request has come in for a new private liquor store to be built at the Quill Centre. Council has approved the request.

After a year of hard work, athletes at Humboldt Collegiate Institute were recognized at HCI’s annual athletic banquet.
