Richard Jenkins may have been a photographer in Humboldt for over 30 years, but two recent awards from the Professional Photographers of Canada means he is keeping up in an ever changing industry.

Leadership in 4-H is something that can be learned from doing – but getting tips to improve doesn’t hurt. Melfort was the site of Saskatchewan 4-H’s northern Leaderama conference Dec. 2.

It has a been successful run for the Carlton Trail Toastmasters. The Humboldt based group celebrated their 30th anniversary with a special Toastmasters meeting on Nov. 28 with present and past members invited to celebrate such an achievement.

Thieves broke into a fenced business compound in the west side of Tisdale, stole two 100-foot lengths of black rubber-cased copper wire and caused damage to a portable welder. The crime happened on Dec. 7, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Tisdale RCMP are asking for help in finding out who is dumping garbage at a bridge north of Eldersley.

Devin Gerwing has great memories of going to games of the then named Tri-Town Thunder. “Growing up in Arborfield, every weekend we went to Thunder games,” Gerwing said.
