After competing in the senior bowl on the May long weekend, a quartet of graduating Melfort Comets played for Team Saskatchewan at the 2017 Saskota Bowl.

With hockey season quickly approaching the Humboldt Broncos are in search of some billet families. The Broncos fall camp kicks off on Aug. 30, and the Broncos still have some housing needs, notes Billet Coordinator Kathleen Keen.

It was a terrific weekend for Humboldt Minor Ball as they sent two teams to provincials and came home with a pair of medals, July 14-16. Mosquito AAA The Mosquito AAA Dodgers traveled to Regina to compete in the Mosquito AAA Provincial Championships.

Over the course of the last week I have heard that the Humboldt Broncos are in desperate need of homes for their players. This is slightly concerning to me.

The City of Humboldt once again is faced with two senior staff resigning. This time with City Manager Roy Hardy and Director of Communications and Community Development Jennifer Brooks leaving during the summer months.

It used to belong to the City of Humboldt but as of Sept. 1, the Good Neighbour Store board will have ownership of their own building.

Humboldt’s newest doctor is excited to be practicing in such a community focused town.

A former MLA who represented Tisdale and Melfort will receive the Saskatchewan Order of Merit this fall. Rod Gantefoer will be among ten extraordinary people that will receive the honour.

Melfort council is questioning the fairness of a policy that’s designed to ensure there’s construction on property sold by the city, as opposed to having it remaining empty, held by real estate speculators.
