I hope everyone had a good holiday season. I would ask what everyone got for Christmas but that is really not all that important. What is important is how many family members and friends you had the opportunity to spend time with.

MOLLE: Melvin Herman “Mel” 1925 – 2016 Mel passed away peacefully at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook on Sunday, December 25, 2016.

STRUEBY: Phyllis February 23, 1936 – December 28, 2016 Phyllis Marie (nee Bauer) Strueby was born on the family farm south ofBruno, SK on February 23, 1936 and died in VictoriaBC on December 28,2016 after a courageous battle with cancer.

PITZEL: Kevin August 19, 1971 – December 19, 2016 The death of Kevin Pitzel of Rosthern, SK (and formerly of Humboldt and Pilger) occurred at the Rosthern Hospital on Monday, December 19, 2016. He was 45 years of age.

JENKINS: Hugh July 25, 1948 – December 19, 2016 Our Dad, Hugh Jenkins was born in Wadena, Sask on July 25, 1948 to Jack and Eileen Jenkins of Quill Lake.

FERGUSON: Cameron Peter Lloyd October 5, 1949 – December 20, 2016 Cameron Peter Lloyd Ferguson of Spalding, SK, passed away on December 20, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer. He was 67 years old.

The Melfort Mustangs continue to get better and the results are starting to follow as they go into the Christmas break as the winners of three of their last four games.
