SPCA gets loan guarantee from City of Melfort
The City of Melfort will guarantee a $500,000 loan for the North East SPCA for their new animal shelter. If all goes as planned, the city will not have to pay any of the money.

Post-flood expenses climbing for Carrot River
Expenses from last summer’s flooding in Carrot River are climibing Kevin Trew , the town’s administrator, has found that $200,000 has been spent on flood-related expenses. This includes $56,000 recently spent on two new sewer pumps.
