Narrowing down Humboldt into one theme was difficult for the Humboldt Mural Committee. This was their task from the Canada 150 Mural team, says Humboldt and District Museum Director, Jennifer Hoesgen.

Karate instructor, Bryce Nagy, comes out from Saskatoon twice a week to teach karate in Humboldt. On Feb. 20, he was out to teach a different type of class; self-defense to Humboldt women.

St. Augustine Hall turned pink on Feb. 21 for the Humboldt and District Kinettes pancake breakfast. With help from the Humboldt Knights of Columbus, the Kinettes wrapped up their last fundraiser before they head to Telemiracle 40 on Mar. 5-6.

With students off for winter break Calico Gymnastics Club hosted a pair of drop-in days Feb. 16 and 18 for kids aged 3-7 and 8-14.

Visiting Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat on Feb. 17 at Reid-Thompson Public Library, it brought up the question of how kids see George. They see him as an explorer having adventures in the world around him.
