Variable weather conditions have greeted us lately. The high humidity has made the weather seem hotter than the registered temperature. The frequent rains lately have kept everything growing quickly, including the weeds. Sunday, July 29, St.

Sunday, July 29, St. Paul's Church, Forest Bank, will host the annual parish service at 11 a.m. The bishop will be in attendance. Following the service a potluck dinner will be held at Forest Bank Community Centre

Last weekend, Christine Pike was part of a field trip that took participants to the Manitou Sand Hills south of Marsden. That area has been heavily infested with an invasive weed, leafy spurge. This weed was originally a European weed and is gradually spreading here. Quite often this is done on machinery used by oil companies and that seems to be the case in the Manitou Sand Hills.
