The Borden Friendship Club spring tea and bake sale was well attended with close to 50 to enjoy a variety of pies or desserts. Proceeds went to help defray the $300 sponsorship of an SOS Children's Village in Kenya that the club supports every year.

The recreation board for the RM of Glenside held their first meeting of the new 2014 season at the home of Andrea Owen of Spinney Hill. Members attended from the three districts of Lizard Lake, Baljennie and Spinney Hill.

The Battlefords Photo Club met on April 1 for their monthly meeting. The meeting started out with some fun, with the club photographing their "environment." which will be the challenge for May.

Meota Hobby Band to perform at library

This Wednesday afternoon, the Meota Hobby Band will be in performance at the North Battleford Library. Everyone is welcome to attend. The performance starts at 2 p.m. and refreshments will follow the program.
