The Grade 1 and 2 class from Marsden Jubilee School (MJS) went to Ag Education Day in Lloydminster April 24. The students learned about the care of various farm animals such as pigs, cows, sheep, horses and chickens.

Speers and District United Church ladies held their Mother's Day tea, bake and plant sale in the recreation hall May 19 and enjoyed a good turnout. Denise Taylor had a good variety of plants for sale and did well on her sales.

Birthday celebration shared at PI Suites

Sunday a number of the apartment ladies enjoyed the music and turkey supper at the Pine Island Suites. I spent the weekend in Cold Lake, Alta.
