As adults, we are often encouraged to set up our day and our surroundings to bring out the best of our abilities, spark imagination and improve concentration.

The Hafford Cheremka Dance Club celebrated its 27th consecutive annual Malanka held at the Hafford Communiplex Jan. 14. This particular popular local Ukrainian New Year celebration originated in 1975 and was previously held in Krydor and Keatley.

After a well-attended public consultation and performance event at the Opera House in Battleford, the Historic Opera House Restoration Project is moving to Stage II. Stage I of the project, the open house at the opera house, took place Dec.

A wing night fundraiser was held at the Maymont Hotel Jan. 14. Thank you, everyone for attending. All proceeds raised will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society on behalf of the "United to Fight for Cancer" Relay for Life team.

The Kiwanis Educates Youth (KEY) Club at John Paul II is a community service based club that is sponsored by the local Kiwanis club. The group works closely with the Kiwanis club, and have established close relationships with the members.

Theresa Kennedy was to Saskatoon for a checkup on her hip. Everything is healing nicely. Her son Scott drove her there. Lil McMillan was to Edmonton for an eye appointment. Things are better than last time, but she has to return in six weeks time.
