(From Oct. 12) Lil and Milt McMillan had Thanksgiving supper with Darlene and Gary Robb. Last week, Lil McMillan was to Edmonton, Alta. for an eye appointment. She said there was a lot of crop out around Vegreville and Vermilion, Alta.

A good crowd made Saturday evening's fundraiser for Pine Island Suites a great success. Among the many items donated for auction by auctioneers from Kramer Auctions and others was the 10,000th birdhouse made by Bruce McFadyen.

This past week saw a change of venue for the Meota exercise facility. This work out gym has been in operation for a few years and has been a great addition for quite a few folks in the community.

A regular meeting of the River's Edge Quilt Guild was held at 1 p.m Oct. 7 in the craft room of the Don Ross Centre. September proved to be a busy month for many guild members.

The Allen Sapp Gallery is hosting three free public events to begin the construction of a Healing Garden.

Although we have only recently kicked off another great year at Maidstone High School, we have already had many exciting events. It has been a busy first month and a great start to the 2011-12 school year.

Hi there! What a beautiful September we've had. The brilliant colours of gold and orange over the river alley and the city are just breathtaking. We do hope October will be nice as well. We've had a busy month at Tower II. Sept.

More than 100 artistic activities took place all over the province this past weekend for Culture Days (a nationwide event that celebrates the arts), but only two were focused on pottery. One such event, entitled Play with Clay, occurred in Mervin.

Radisson Royal Purple held their Oct. 3 meeting at the home of Tina Hessell. Special guests were Sask. RP President Colleen MacDonald and HRL Deanna Brazier of Choiceland.
