The Hafford Cheremka Dance Club held its annual dance recital April 3. Parents, grandparents and friends attended the recital to watch the wonderful display of dance talent.

Les and Edith Christensen received the Andy Coulter Award at the Marsden/Neilburg Minor Hockey Banquet, held March 31 in the Neilburg Community Hall.

Close to 30 people were on hand for the Borden seniors March birthdays and potluck supper on March 30. Happy birthday was sung to Terry Petriew and Martha Rempel, and then a video was shown of early happenings in Saskatchewan, going back to 1900.

A week ago I would have sworn that old Mother Nature had come down with Alzheimer's disease and had forgotten what season she was supposed to be bringing on.

Stewart and Phyllis Cunningham returned home from their annual vacation to Spain where the temperature was in the 60 to 80 degree range.

The warmer temperatures during the past week have made snow disappear and dried roads. The Waseca 100th anniversary committee members continue to work hard laying plans for the celebrations to be held July 2 and 3.

The geese and crows are back, the gophers are out and the snow is finally melting away. Farmers are looking forward to the beginning of spring field work that will need to be done before the crops can go in.

We've enjoyed a little more sunshine the last few days. Summer birds are gradually arriving and temperatures are up to plus 5 degrees C. All these tell us that spring is on its way.
