The Water Security Agency is drawing public attention to the business practices of private companies leaving “water testing kits” on people’s doorsteps.

TISDALE — Tisdale RCMP received a report of an alleged incident involving a man who was trying to lure children into his truck with candy. The incident occurred on the evening of July 30 within the 1200 block of 100th Street.

SHAND — The Shand Fair, put on by the Shand Agricultural Society, comes back this year. The fair includes a cattle show, horse judging, hall exhibits, petting zoo, climbing wall and children’s games.

Firearms, clothing and money have been taken from a residence in Wilkie. RCMP are investigating a break-in at the residence on the 600 block of 1st Street West between 1:30 p.m. July 25 and 8:30 p.m. July 26.

For the second time in a month a train derailment involving rail cars carrying liquid asphalt has occurred near Rockhaven. Saturday, Unity RCMP responded to a report of a derailment south of Rockhaven.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is investigating health claims against the Englefeld Hogfest. Eleven people have come forward saying they contracted salmonella at this year’s annual event, announced the authority in a July 20 in a press release.
