The Nipawin Hawks put a quick end to their two game losing streak as they knocked off the Notre Dame Hounds 4-2 in Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League action in Nipawin.

With 49 votes, Zachary Youzwa has been elected as councillor for the RM of Nipawin's Division 5. Youzwa defeated David Hluchaniuk , who received 15 votes; Jason Froese , who received 14; and Conrad Kimmie , who received 4.
