One person was transported to hospital after a two-vehicle collision Wednesday at the intersection of 104th Street and 15th Avenue. North Battleford Fire Department was called to the scene at about 1:45 p.m.

Despite some recent setbacks in the crime statistics, the City of North Battleford’s community safety co-ordinator is urging council to not get discouraged. “I’ve been following the RCMP crime stats and I know the inspector was here.

A graffiti removal strategy has been presented to City Hall. A list of procedures and notification policies to promptly remove graffiti were presented to councillors, but also presented was a “graffiti removal service release and indemnity form.

Tuesday, March 24 at approximately 5:30 p.m., a 47-year-old man was located deceased on the Mosquito First Nation. The man had been reported missing on the evening of March 23, and it was believed may have wandered off from his residence.

Battlefords RCMP received a report of a gunshot shortly after 5 a.m. Thursday March 26.

With the latest heavy snowfall and warmer temperatures on the way, the Lifesaving Society (Saskatchewan Branch) reminds everyone to exercise caution around bodies of water and stay off the ice.
