The investigation continues into the deaths of two individuals in the vicinity of Unity this week. According to Unity RCMP, on Sept. 10 they received a call at around 2 p.m. about a 56-year-old woman who was reported missing by her co-workers.

The new garbage roll out regime in North Battleford is still finding some dissenters months after being introduced. Councillors say they have received positive feedback generally to the new black rollout bins.

North Battleford Fire Department has been busy responding to fire incidents in the city this week. Thursday, around 7:47 p.m., fire crews responded to a building fire at 1992 - 100th Street, the former RCMP station.

The rear access to the NationsWEST Field House and Northland Power Curling Centre will be partially closed from Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. until Sept. 15. The partial closure is for landscaping and for removal of materials.

Two streets will be closed all day Sept. 11. The 1400 block of 97th Street and the 1900 block of 102nd Street will be closed all day for water and sewer service installation.

The person charged with uttering a threat to blow up the bridge between North Battleford and Battleford has been released pending his next court appearance.

One individual remains at large after Little Pine First Nation was the scene of two violent home invasions last Friday. Friday, Sept 5 at 4:04 p.m., Cut Knife RCMP members responded to the scene.

One almost expected game show host Bob Eubanks to walk in the door and put in an appearance at North Battleford city council Monday. There were enough newly-married councillors at the meeting to make up a contestant pool on The Newlywed Game.
