Battlefords City Detachment of the RCMP continues to report reduced calls for service in North Battleford for the month of August. Calls for service stood at 1,033 for the month, down from 1,585 the previous August.

Less than 100 calls for service were made to the North Battleford RCMP over the three-day period between 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12 and 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15.

North Battleford RCMP responded to about 34 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16.

Maidstone RCMP are reporting multiple reports of thefts from motor vehicles and a report of a stolen motor vehicle from Lashburn. The incidents are reported to have occurred between 4 and 5:30 a.m. Sept. 11.

The Light of Christ Catholic School Division is introducing a new logo this year. Cory Rideout, director of education, says the idea of a new logo came out of discussion about website changes and establishing more of a web presence.
