Martin Night, 26, has been arrested in connection with an investigation into an armed robbery in North Battleford May 5. North Battleford RCMP say the arrest was made in Saskatoon in partnership with the Saskatoon Police Service.

A grass fire in the King Hill area burned over about 10 acres on a windy afternoon Monday. North Battleford Fire Department dispatched a full range of resources to battle the blaze at about 3 p.m.

A man remains in custody following a complaint made to RCMP about a man carrying a firearm on Second Avenue in the town of Battleford. The incident is alleged to have happened April 28.

A blown radiator hose was reported as a vehicle fire Friday, with the North Battleford Fire Department attending. The incident was reported at 10:32 p.m. as steam, vapor or fog thought to be smoke.

An individual, or individuals, with a strange interest in collecting hardware is causing concerns for the City of North Battleford's Public Works and Engineering Department.

Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 15 calls between 6 a.m. Sunday, May 11 and 6 a.m. Monday, May 12. Sunday 6:32 a.m. - Break and enter to a vacant home on 1400 block of 104th Street. 2:30 p.m.

Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 30 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Friday, May 9 and 6 a.m. Saturday, May 10. Among those were two false/nuisance 911 calls, one false alarm and three traffic related complaints. Friday 7:32 a.m.

North Battleford Fire Department reports they did battle with a grassfire 11 miles east on Wearing Road. The call came in around 3:51pm Saturday afternoon.

Here is the Daily Report of occurences handled by the RCMP from 6 am May 9 to 6 am May 10. Just over 30 calls for service/occurrences were received. There were two false/nuisance 911 calls, one false alarm, and three traffic related complaints.

Some new technology is coming to read license plates and help improve road safety in the province. SGI is investing in automatic license plate readers, which will be used by the RCMP and municipal police agencies.
