EAST CENTRAL — A local MP is self-isolating after learning a person he met with has COVID-19. Randy Hoback, the MP for Prince Albert, met with David Beasley, the executive director of the World Food Programme, on March 11.

Seventeen new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Saskatchewan, bringing the total to 44. Twenty-five of those are confirmed and 19 presumptive. Yesterday, March 20, the number was 26.

The province has announced that as of March 21 Saskatchewan has 17 new positive cases and one presumptive positive case, bringing the total to 44 cases. Of the 44, 25 cases are confirmed and 19 cases are presumptive.

HUMBOLDT — Trappers from across the province came to Humboldt enjoy a 15-vendor trade show, workshops, live demonstrations, and competitions The Saskatchewan Trappers’ Association held their convention March 13 and 14 at Jubilee Hall.

Clint Wuttunee has been returned as chief for Red Pheasant Cree Nation. Wuttunee defeated two challengers in the race for chief. Results give Wuttunee 648 votes compared to 424 for Todd Baptiste and six for Lester Nicotine.
