PAKWAW LAKE — A Pakwaw Lake resident won $1 million in the June 8 Lotto Max draw. Carlton Bear was shocked when he discovered he’d won a million dollars. He purchased his Lotto Max ticket at Downtown Esso, located at 2005 Albert Street in Regina.

The Town of Battleford is expecting another colourful parade this year. Parade entry forms are available on the Town’s website. The town’s 35th annual parade will take place Aug. 10 and will start and finish at St. Vital School.

NIPAWIN — The Nipawin Hawks have a bit of a rebuild this summer as they prepare for a first game against Humboldt this fall. The first game will be in Humboldt Sept. 12 to be televised on TSN, followed by a home game Sept. 14.
