Guilty plea to Lighthouse mischief, police assault

Fire burns down building in Hudson Bay
A fire on Hudson Bay’s Churchill Street burnt down a building containing three businesses and a residence. The fire occurred on the evening of Jan. 8. The lone resident of the building was not in the building at the time of the fire.

Arrest for child luring
A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged with luring a child following an RCMP investigation. According to police, on Jan. 7, Battlefords RCMP received a complaint from a youth about unwanted electronic messages from an adult male.
