North Battleford and area are among those communities benefiting from charitable gaming grants from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority. The SLGA announced the grants Feb. 13.

The Battlefords RCMP have received numerous reports of vehicles being vandalized in the city. In addition, people have gone through unlocked vehicles, stealing various items.

Saskatchewan RCMP are busy assisting at several highway crashes throughout the province this afternoon. in the past half hour, officers have responded to two single vehicle rollovers in both Pense and Grand Coulee.

Weyburn RCMP Detachment continuetheir efforts tolocate Kenneth G. Korven, age 44, from Weyburn. RCMP are requesting the public's continued assistance in locating Mr. Korven, who has not been seen at work or by his family and friends since Feb.

Emergency crews had to deal with a couple of motor vehicle accidents on area highways Wednesday. North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services reports that around 5:36 p.m. Wednesday a call came in about a collision 15 kilometres east of Maymont.

North Battleford City Hall has set aside Tuesday, Feb. 19 for a meeting on the city budget. The meeting is to begin at 7 p.m. and will be open to the public.
