The Battlefords AAA Sharks keep finding ways to win hockey games. The Sharks swept a two-game weekend series with the Melville Prairie Fire at the Horizon Credit Union Centre.

The Wilkie Outlaws got their inaugural season in the Sask West Hockey League underway in similar fashion to their time in the NSRHL. The Outlaws won their first two games of the season, beating the Biggar Nationals and the Unity Miners.

North Stars goaltender Ryan Rewerts made 32 saves in relief and stopped all four Mustangs shooters in the shootout to give Battlefords a 4-3 win Wednesday night in Melfort.

The Battlefords Midget AA Barons earned three points during a weekend road trip after a win over the Unity Lazers and tying the Meadow Lake Stampeders In Friday night's game, the Barons edged the Lazers 6-5 in a high-scoring affair.
