The Battlefords Midget AA Barons extended their unbeaten streak to three games after a win and a tie against the Beardy's Blackhawks at the Civic Centre over the weekend.

The North Battleford Comprehensive Junior Vikings made their first appearance in the Kinsmen Football League bantam championship game count. The Vikings downed the Schoenhals Titans 20-17 in the final to win the city championship.

The Humboldt Collegiate Institute girls volleyball team competed against other teams around the region on Oct. 17 and 18. Though they didn't place, coach Stacey Jackson is happy with how the tournament went overall.

Considering the extensive athletic career he's led, it's no surprise that David Wassill is being inducted into the Humboldt and District Sports Hall of Fame. What is surprising is that he's finally decided to accept.
