The Lashburn Senior Lady Lobos basketball team have started their season. Coach Dave Pero says he is looking forward to a competitive season with seven returning players and two rookies.

The City of North Battleford is thanking those who help families skate for free.

The Meadow Lake Stampeders used a six-goal second period to beat the Paradise Hill Hawks 11-4 Saturday night in the NSRHL's season opener in Meadow Lake. Both teams scored twice in the first period, but Stampeders took control in the second period.
