The late Robert "Bob" Herron will be inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame as a player Saturday, Aug, 16. Born March 13, 1924 in McKinney, Tex.

The Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame has announced the late Stan Green of Kamsack will be inducted as a player Aug.

Wallace Pruden, formerly of Lashburn and now residing in Trail, B.C., has been selected for induction into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame as a player. Pruden was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Pruden in Lashburn.

Team Saskatchewan had a successful run at the 2014 North American Indigenous Games in Regina last week. The games, which wrapped up Sunday, saw Team Saskatchewan finish second in the total count with 159 medals, one behind British Columbia.

Four baseball teams based out of Unity Minor Ball headed to provincial championships over the July 18 weekend. Two came home with provincial titles. The Mosquito boys' team headed to Muenster in the A2 category.

The second round match ups have been set in the NSRBL playoffs. In one series, the Lloydminster Twins host the Wilkie Brewers. Lloydminster advanced to the second round after sweeping the Mervin Flyers.
