Thirty-eight golfers turned out for the New Horizons Monday morning scramble. The weather was overcast and cool for the most part, but very nice when the sun came out.

The Humboldt Broncos will feature some new faces behind the bench and in the office when the puck drops in September. On July 2 the team announced that assistant coach Luke Strueby and office manager Noreen Strueby have both left the team.

The Calgary Flames opened up their development camp Wednesday, and it had a local feel. Brody Hoffman, from Wilkie, is one of 44 total prospects and one of the five goalies at the camp.

The Junior B Ladies' Fastball Championship was won by the host team in Unity last weekend.
