Rookie football players from five nine-man football teams in the area took to the field at Glenn Hall Park in Humboldt on September 24.

The Humboldt Broncos traded away one of their veteran 20-year-olds last week.

The Battlefords AAA Sharks wrapped up their regular season with two losses on the road. The Sharks fell 7-0 in Prince Albert Friday and 7-1 Saturday in Saskatoon.

The John Paul II Crusaders football team played in Meadow Lake Friday and were out matched by the more experienced home team. The final score was 56-7 infavour of Meadow Lake.
