Dear Editor I am writing in reference to "4-Hers experience historic moment at NFR" (Regional Optimist, Feb. 3). I was a member of the 4-H system for approximately 18 years.

The Christian tenet of "love thy neighbour" has, in modern times, evolved to encompass the concept of "feed thy neighbour.

"You've been burning the midnight oil - how come?" Ed, my neighbour next door, demanded of me yesterday at the post office. "I saw your office light on when I came home late Monday night.

It is time to quit apologizing. We, as Canadians, are mocked for our over apologetic nature, teased for saying "sorry" when someone bumps into us. As women, we are no better.
