Dear Editor As a citizen of Battleford, I find myself in quite the predicament.

My interest in Humboldt continues despite my not having lived there for a while. I am a taxpayer of both the RM of Humboldt and the City. I have an interest, too, in St. Mary's Villa (SMV). My father died there in 2007 at age 95.

Ten elderly residents of St. Mary's Villa have been told they must leave their home. My mother is one of them. This news was imparted at supper on Wednesday, February 15.

To the Powers-that-be in Saskatchewan, I am shocked and dismayed about the way the 10 seniors from St Mary's Villa are being treated.

I watched the first couple minutes of the Grammys. And then I turned it off and did something productive. I didn't want to hear all the tributes to Whitney Houston, a self-confessed druggie who had died the day before.

Dear Editor I am writing in regards to "4-H trip disappoints supporters" (Regional Optimist Feb. 10), that was written in regards to a Reigning Riders 4-h club trip. It is disgusting that someone would bash a club for this.
