A former MLA who represented Tisdale and Melfort will receive the Saskatchewan Order of Merit this fall. Rod Gantefoer will be among ten extraordinary people that will receive the honour.

Melfort council is questioning the fairness of a policy that’s designed to ensure there’s construction on property sold by the city, as opposed to having it remaining empty, held by real estate speculators.

Love played host to gospel music once again as they hosted their annual Love Gospel Jamboree.

There will be no fluoride added to Nipawin’s drinking water. The town’s council made the decision at their July 10 meeting.

The bass was pumping in Tisdale over the weekend as the Tisdale and District Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Rockin’ the Square concert.

The rocking in Tisdale moved from the square to the racetrack with round two of the season at the Tisdale Motor Speedway. A total of 15 Cars came out to compete July 9 with teams travelling in from Shellbrook, Watrous, Outlook and Swift Current.
