The Town of Nipawin has set its tax levy – and it has decided to reduce the portion that every property owner must pay the same dollar amount for, the base tax. Coun. Joyce Watts said the reduction is part of a three-year strategy.

When Nipawin’s pool reopens this summer, it will no longer be known as the Irene Manley Swimming Pool. Thanks to an unanimous vote by council, it will be The Pool @ Central Park.

Once the City of Melfort borrows approximately $4.7 million to pay for the skate park, putting services into Spruce Haven and the Wellness Centre, the plan is to pay it back by 2030.

A Dodge van with six people travelling northbound on Highway #35 rolled over into the ditch approximately 13 kilometres south of Nipawin. Nipawin RCMP arrived on scene around 5 p.m. on May 22 with the Nipawin Fire Department and Northeast EMS.
