The Editor, I would like to correct the letter to the editor on June 30, 2010 that stated MLA Doreen Eagles sits at the cabinet table. This is not true. Doreen Eagles may chair the caucus meetings, but she has not been and is not a cabinet minister.

Journalism today is so different compared with what it was just 10 years ago, and yet the crux of it is the same as it was 200 years ago. It's a crazy gig.

About 165 young people were given their walking papers in Estevan on Monday night. It wasn't a mass layoff notice, it was their high school graduation day and it was an important piece of paper they received.
