Mosaic Meal The Mosaic Meal (Potluck) will again be held on the last day before the break, Friday, December 20. Each student is asked to bring enough food for 5 - 6 people according to the grade’s category.

King’s Department Store was a busy place during the Dickens weekend. The store ran many specials and also hosted area musicians.

Arcola Buck Night (ABN) was held on Saturday, December 7 at Prairie Place Hall in Arcola. This was the event’s 19th year. ABN was first held in the Kisbey town hall, organized by local hunters and was attended by approximately 40 people.

This year’s Toy Drive, organized by the The Bargain Shop, Southern Plains Co-op and the Bear Claw Casino has been very successful, receiving an abundance of donations.

If you attended the Dickens Festival last weekend, you would have had many good choices to satisfy your taste buds.

The Carlyle Novice Cougars (Chris) stormed into their home tournament on Dec 7-8 and came out with the A side Championship. The whole team played like a well oiled machine.

Those attending the Dickens Festival most certainly would have enjoyed going back to Victorian times at the tea room at the United Church, hosted by the UCW.

With three games to report on, the Cougars would like to erase the first one from their memory. It was a great game on Nov. 16, when the Cougars headed to Carnduff to take on the Red Devils.
