Beautiful, carved cedar benches took their rightful place by the courthouse in downtown Estevan Thursday afternoon. The pieces were gone for refurbishment since April.

One of Estevan’s longest-standing businesses is going to reopen next week. The Orpheum Theatre will return with hot-buttered popcorn and the action thriller Unhinged, starring Russel Crowe, on Sept. 11.

There are 10 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on Sept. 3, according to the Ministry of Health, bringing the total to 1,634 reported cases. Six new cases are in the Saskatoon region.

A petition has been launched on the change.org website to show support for the LGBTQ2S community in Redvers.

The first set of passing lanes on Highway 39 between Estevan and Weyburn are opening. The passing lanes are part of a $100 million federal-provincial highway safety improvement to this busy international trade corridor.

Dun Rite Glass always finds a way to remain busy and meet the needs of its customers. The business, located at the intersection of Fourth Street and 13th Avenue in downtown Estevan, is known for their auto glass, but they do a lot more.

Estevan’s Playparks proved to be a draw with young people in the community this year. The playparks season wrapped up Tuesday with swimming and crafts at the Hillcrest Park.

Prairie Sky Kitchens has been busier than it’s ever been during the past few months. The Estevan business, which works in conjunction with B&S Construction, has seen more people coming in to inquire about a kitchen renovation.
