Volunteers of Assiniboia and district were in the spotlight for a volunteer appreciation event on April 27 at the Prince of Wales auditorium in Assiniboia.

The Assiniboia and District Music Festival turned 85 this year and celebrated fantastic musical performances as well as deserving music scholarship over two days of competition at the Assiniboia Alliance Church in Assiniboia on April 23-24.

Four women were applauded for their contributions to life in the Estevan area during the 19th annual Quota International of Estevan Women of Today Awards.

A workshop on child sexual abuse raised awareness in the community of Assiniboia and area. Messiah Lutheran Church brought the Little Warriors “Prevent It!” workshop to a full hall in Assiniboia on April 8.
