Weyburn’s Tenille Arts achieved one of the long-time goals of her career, by appearing on the historic stage of the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday evening in Nashville, Tenn.

Just last Monday, Marissa DelVecchio and Cassie Emert of Missoula Children’s Theatre were auditioning Estevan talents to decide on their cast for Peter and Wendy.

The New Jersey Jukebox, which pays tribute to the music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, will be the opening act in the Estevan Concert Series, presented by the Estevan Arts Council. The concert will take place on Sept.

The Estevan Art Gallery and Museum (EAGM) is inviting the public to its upcoming opening night reception. The event will be held Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. It is free to attend and all ages are welcome.

Local author Marie Calder released 25 books in the Other Side series about her father Ed’s experiences working as a mechanic with the Canadian Army in Leer, Germany, after the Second World War.

The Assiniboia Art Council is bringing Culture Days to Assiniboia when September draws to a close. There are several events planned for people of all ages who are interested theatre, cinema arts and music from September 27-29 in Assiniboia.

Assiniboian animator Marie Beaudoin will be directing two discussions on animated films before and after the movie, The Breadwinner, which will be shown at the Olympia Theatre on Sunday, September 29.

Estevan kids from kindergarten to Grade 12 had a chance to check out their performing talents and skills on Monday when the Missoula Children's Theatre held auditions for its upcoming local performance of the Peter and Wendy.
