Submitted Over the past fifteen years one of the highlights of Carlyle’s annual Dickens Village Festival has been Cornerstone Theatre’s Christmas musical.

For Joely BigEagle-Kequahtooway, her artwork is all about the buffalo. The White Bear First Nations artist was at the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum last week for a project through the Common Weal Community Arts Respond to Racism initiative.

The Estevan Arts Council hosted parent and child pottery classes on Saturday and Sunday. Children and adults gathered in the arts council's craft room inside the Estevan Leisure Centre to learn pottery techniques and to learn more about the art form.

The Estevan Arts Council (EAC) held its annual general meeting on Oct. 4 at the Estevan Leisure Centre to discuss the past year’s events, and to begin planning for the upcoming year, according to Wilma Mantei, president of the organization.

The date has been announced for the Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train’s annual appearance in Estevan. ​The train will roll into Estevan on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 3 p.m., and the performance will run from 3:15-3:45 p.m.

A tribute concert to one of the biggest stars in music history will be coming to the Orpheum Theatre on Oct. 20. David James and Big River will bring their Johnny Cash tribute show to the Orpheum. The show will start at 8:30 p.m.

Amora Sonnenberg models Nicole Griffin’s seashell crown on the runway Friday night for the first annual ARTicles runway hosted by the Weyburn Arts Council at the Signal Hill Arts Centre.
