The organizers of the Carnduff and District Music Festival persevered through challenging weather conditions to deliver a festival that featured the musical and artistic talents of people in the southeast corner of the province.

Canadian country star Duane Steele will bring 'The Legend of George Jones' to Arcola's MacMurray Theatre, Wednesday, March 21 at 8 p.m.

Organizers of TheatreFest, the provincial theatre competition, are asking for volunteers to step forward to help them out during the week-long festival of community theatre in Weyburn on April 1-8 at the Cugnet Centre.

Local musicians are showcasing their talent as part of the Estevan and District Music Festival, which started Sunday and will continue until March 28.

American rock icon Alice Cooper will be performing at Affinity Place this summer. The City of Estevan announced Monday morning that Cooper will be bringing A Paranormal Evening with Alice Cooper to Estevan on Aug. 26. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

New adult programming co-ordinator Roxy Blackmore has created a new talking book club for the Estevan Public Library, and it will open to people of all ages.

The Estevan Arts Council will present Canada’s Ballet Jorgen’s performance of Anastasia on March 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Estevan Comprehensive School.

by Wes Bloom Last weekend in Assiniboia, much to the delight of its many visitors, the Assiniboia and District Arts Council presented its third annual ‘Pop-Up Art Show and Sale’.

The Carnduff and District Music and Arts Festival is going to be coming soon, with lots of different musicians taking part in this festival. The main performance will begin at the Royal Canadian Legion’s Carnduff branch on March 4 at 1 p.m.

Concert-goers can look forward to a high-energy performance by the Hunter Brothers at the Cugnet Centre on Tuesday, March 6. These charismatic siblings, consisting of Luke, J.J., Ty, Brock and Dusty, will share their stories throughout the evening.
