The very best in community theatre productions will be showcased on the stage at the Cugnet Centre in Weyburn, with the 84 th competitive play festival, TheatreFest, set to run from Sunday, April 1 to Sunday, April 8.

Cornerstone Theatre is back for another spring production and laughter is at the top of the playbill. Directing this year’s Dinner Theatre are constants in the Cornerstone world: Lane and Colleen Easton.

Based on the recommendations this year, two Estevan performers will be heading to provincials and may compete at the national level classes.

The Estevan and District Music Festival wrapped up the piano portion on Monday night with a highlights and awards program at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Singer Tenille Artsis seeing her career continue to climb upwards, as she has signed with Reviver Records. Tenille’s first single on the label will be scheduled following a national tour introducing her to country radio stations.

Music lovers will be treated to a musical journey through the decades as the Weyburn Rotary Club presents the “Legends” show, a concert featuring country, soul and rock-n-roll at the Cugnet Centre on Friday, March 23, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The 14th annual Gateway Festival will take place July 27-29, 2018 in beautiful Bengough, Sask.

Spring is just around the corner and plans are being made for the fourth annual Berry Jam Music Festival. The Berry Jam Music Festival is a one-day music festival that is held at a berry u-pick farm located 12 kms. north of Kincaid.

Members of a large beginner ballet group danced to “Twinkle Twinkle” as part of their performance for dancers five and under, at the Inspirations of Dance competition on Friday evening at the Cugnet Centre.

The Estevan Arts Council was able to provide one of their new classes to younger children on March 8, with lessons on paper mâché. The art form has long been a great way to have fun with art and make some really interesting artwork.
