Local fiddler Shoni King is excited for the upcoming opportunity to travel to Cape Breton Island in October for a huge music festival, and did some busking in Weyburn recently to help her raise some funds for the trip.

The sound of Music City is back at The Mac Wednesday, Sept. 6, as the Arcola Optimists welcome Nashville singer-songwriters Victoria Banks and Phil Barton to the stage.

The final show at the Souris Valley Theatre this year will be a tribute to the talents of famed musician June Carter Cash, and her mother, Maybelle Carter. Wildwood Fire will be performed at the theatre’s Frehlick Hall from Sept. 7 to 9.

Dreams, an authentic sounding, seven-piece tribute to Fleetwood Mac, will kick off the Estevan Arts Council’s Stars for Saskatchewan 2016-17 season. The group will perform on Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Estevan Comprehensive School.

Rhonda Stock continues to be impressed with the support shown for her seven-novel Dust and Devils series. And the enjoyment that people have for the novels keeps her writing.
