Heather van der Breggen has a new art exhibit, “Rape and Honey” that is being showcased in Calories in Saskatoon, where it will be displayed during the month of August.

The Prince of Wales Centre in Assiniboia welcomed Susan Wilson as its new general manager in late July. She replaces Kaylee Beck. Wilson comes from Coronach and has been living in Assiniboia for the past year.

Youth involved with Crocus 80 Theatre’s Summer Youth Theatre Development Program have been busy preparing eight stories by Canadian author Robert Munsch, adapted for the stage by Irene N. Watts.

Fans of polka music and dancing filled the auditorium of the Prince of Wales Centre in Assiniboia for the 15th annual Polka Fest on July 14-15. Over 100 people attended the event with the busiest times being the evenings.

Weyburn dancer Autumn Alexander has lived and breathed dance for most of her life, and now she will have the opportunity to work with some of the top choreographers in the industry later this month.

The Souris Valley Theatre experienced a decrease in attendance for its main stage productions at Frehlick Hall this year, but business manager Lyn Vilcu is still pleased with the turnout for the two shows.

This year’s Bow Valley Jamboree in Oxbow offered plenty of music for the crowds that turned out at Bow Valley Park. The music started just after noon and continued until the overnight hours.
