The Johnny Reid concert at Affinity Place last month resulted in a small profit. Financial statements released at Monday night’s meeting of Estevan city council showed the event had a profit of $645.39, with $150,597.49 in revenues, and $149,950.

The 58th annual Weyburn Rotary Music Festival is set to bring the best from local performers starting with the piano competition on Monday, Feb. 29. The piano classes will run until Friday, Mar. 4, with the vocal classes on Mar.

Organizers of the Estevan and District Music Festival are getting ready for the annual showcase of musical talent in the region. The festival has received 644 entries for this year.
