The annual celebration of the Ukrainian New Year’s, Malanka, will be held on Saturday, Jan. 23 at McKenna Hall in Weyburn, hosted by the Weyburn and District Ukrainian Canadian Cultural group.

The Petroleum Services Association of Canada (PSAC) and STARS have announced the date of their annual fundraising event. The STARS and Spurs Gala will be held Saturday, January 23 at the BMO Centre, Stampede Park, Calgary.

Residents are encouraged to gather with their friends, don their masks and most dazzling outfits and join the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation for a Mardi Gras Murder Mystery Gala.

Students of White Bear Education Complex (WBEC) hosted their annual Christmas Concert on Friday, Dec. 18, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance.

For the second year in a row Manor School hosted a talent show on Friday, Dec. 18, with students from each grade participating in the activity. Performing in front of a gym filled with family and friends, students showcased a variety of talents.

The 32nd annual James Weir Peoples’ Choice Exhibition, Weyburn’s most popular art show, begins its yearly run on Jan. 6, at the Allie Griffin Art Gallery. The annual competition will wrap up with a reception and presentation of awards on Feb.

Arcola School hosted its annual Christmas concert on Thursday, Dec. 17, at both 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Audiences at both times were thoroughly entertained by the students who had put a lot of hard work and effort into their performances.

Wawota School students and playschool youth worked hard for to bring together the annual Christmas Concert, which was hosted on Wednesday, Dec. 16. The gymnasium was filled with friends and family members, all there to support the youth performing.

Santa Claus takes a turn on the mike to sing along with a rocking version of “Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town”, during the Weyburn stop of the CP Holiday Train.
