For the second year in a row Manor School hosted a talent show on Friday, Dec. 18, with students from each grade participating in the activity. Performing in front of a gym filled with family and friends, students showcased a variety of talents.

The 32nd annual James Weir Peoples’ Choice Exhibition, Weyburn’s most popular art show, begins its yearly run on Jan. 6, at the Allie Griffin Art Gallery. The annual competition will wrap up with a reception and presentation of awards on Feb.

Arcola School hosted its annual Christmas concert on Thursday, Dec. 17, at both 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Audiences at both times were thoroughly entertained by the students who had put a lot of hard work and effort into their performances.

Wawota School students and playschool youth worked hard for to bring together the annual Christmas Concert, which was hosted on Wednesday, Dec. 16. The gymnasium was filled with friends and family members, all there to support the youth performing.

Santa Claus takes a turn on the mike to sing along with a rocking version of “Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town”, during the Weyburn stop of the CP Holiday Train.

It is the most wonderful time of the year, the sounds of music are heard everywhere we go and that reminds members of the Estevan and District Music Festival committee that this annual event is looming on the horizon.

Students from the Drewitz School of Dance under the direction of Lorie-Gay Drewitz-Gallaway, participated in the SDTA Highland exams on Nov. 24 with Myra Miller from Glasgow, Scotland serving as the examiner.

Hints of Harmony, a musical group based in Wawota for the past 32 years, hosted their annual Christmas Concert on Sunday, Dec. 13, to a full house at the Wawota United Church.
