Businesses invited to free seminar

The Weyburn Review will have Mike Blinder, a media industry leader, coming to educate local businesses during a special free luncheon seminar on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

The works of Pieter van der Breggen and the late Cornelius Kievits called "Weyburn's Dutch Masters" will be shown at the Allie Griffin Art Gallery. There will be a public reception on Sunday, September 7, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Weyburn Duplicate Bridge report

During July and August, the Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club met once a week on Monday evenings, but starting in September, the club will resume playing on Thursday afternoons at 1 p.m. as well as on Monday evenings at 7 p.m.

Senior Centre activities

The WheatlandSenior Centre holds weekly activities. The following are the results from August 15 to August 21: Friday's Bridge tournament ended with first place going to Linda Kot, with second place to John Whitell, and George Gillies in third place.

Quilters Guild to hold beginners class

The Weyburn Crocus Quilters Guild will hold its first meeting of the fall on Tuesday, September 2 at Grace United Church upper hall. Socializing starts at 6:30 p.m. with the meeting to begin at 7 p.m. All quilters are welcome.
