October land sale yields $15.2 million

The October sale of Crown petroleum and natural gas rights has brought in $15.2 million in revenue for the province, bringing total land sale revenues for the 2012 calendar year to $94.2 million.

Congratulations to the GF Kells Cross Country runners who competed in Carnduff last week. It was a cold, miserable day, but that didn't slow down our group. There were over 650 competitors at the meet and some categories had over 80 entries.

Police continue to investigate vandalism to vehicles

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of October 1 to 7: During the reporting period, police attended to 93 calls for service. *On October 7, a man attended the police station after having a domestic dispute with his ex-girlfriend.

Prairie Place in Arcola was home to the 5th Annual Creative Tables for Cancer on Thursday, Oct. 4. With 40 tables seating at least eight people at each well over 320 people were present for the wonderful event.
