Submitted by Tracey Rothwell Head Coach, Weyburn Artistic Swimming Club WASC Senior athletes and their coaches traveled to Las Vegas Nevada over the February break and attended an exciting and challenging High Performance camp with the Water Beauties

Members of the Estevan Mermaids artistic swimming club travelled to Saskatoon on the weekend for the Diane Lemon Invitational Figure and Routine Meet. Fourteen local athletes attended the event.

The Weyburn Comprehensive School sent three teams to the Senior Regional Curling Championships in Whitewood over the weekend.

It’s a family edition of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Weekly Awards for two members of the Estevan Bruins, as brothers Jayden and Cody Davis of Alameda were both recognized for the week of Feb. 23-March 1.

Two young members with Estevan Bowl came home with provincial championships.

The Estevan Western Star Signature Hotel atom tier 1 Bruins have moved on to the semifinal round in the South East Minor Hockey League’s playoffs. The Bruins defeated the host Melville Millionaires 5-3 on Feb.

Serving as billet parents has been a rewarding experience for Jon and Mandee Park. The couple started housing Bruin players back in 2014, and have been enjoying it ever since.

Estevan Comprehensive School curlers returned from regionals with one victory and two losses. It was the first time the team made it so far, and according to coach Mike Keating, they showed a very strong game.

The Estevan Bruins wrapped up the 2019-20 regular season Saturday night with a 6-4 loss to the Weyburn Red Wings at Affinity Place.

One of the most respected individuals in the history of the Estevan Bruins is going to be inducted into the Ted Knight Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame.
